Thanks to all Jinnis for your collective work.

We finished our 7th year on a high, with a series of night walks around the Australian National University.
(Held in association with Drill Hall Gallery’s Light Source exhibition, curated by Associate Professor Martyn Jolly and Tony Oates.)
The walks extending ideas and concepts outside the gallery highlighting the ambitious experimental practice of many of the ANU’s creative fellows past and present. A huge thanks to Catrina Vignando, Jane Duong and Caroline Huf for their help delivering the walks.
New collaborations who came together to create the ANU walks included:
Catchment Studio and Alinta Barlow, Ngunnawal singer-songwriters, song ‘Dirana‘.
Hedda Murray and Rod Taylor 2XX, trailer showcasing, 50 years of community broadcasting and activism.
A final note of gratitude to, Elliott Magen, film editor for being my mentor in 2025 and sharing his many superpowers in file management, empathy and humanity.
Looking ahead to 2026 – we are thrilled to welcome Cinnamon van Reyk as Localjinni Curator in Residence.
