This comment by one of our participants illustrates all the fun we had.
Yes – I loved being able to go through the city at night as a group. I loved learning about new places in the city and the history that surrounds the place. It was fun seeing people look at us – you could see they wanted to be part of this cool thing – scootering, watching films, hearing stories, experiencing art in situ, laughing. The installation art in Glebe Park was also beautiful – cycling through the softness of flowing white material. I loved experiencing the joy of the scooter and the art. The totality was amazing – it felt as if we were reclaiming the streets of Canberra, with zero-emissions.
Thanks to all Localjinni’s contributors, events partners and supporters.
It takes a city of citizens and artists to change the way we way we see the night-time city but together we are making it happen.
