We kicked off, Part One of a pilot project; Lakeside Stories on Thursday 15 March at the Canberra Museum and Gallery (CMAG). The event brought a diverse range of speakers together for a night of ‘social yarning’ (3-5mins each).
To see if sharing stories might influence our shared experience and deepen our sense of care and responsibility towards the places we live. An evaluation, confirmed that participants’ felt the event had been significant in deepening their knowledge and connection to the Lake.
Keep an eye out for Part Two of the pilot to be held in association with contour 556/018 a public art event staged around the Lake, 5-28 October 2018.
